Shelf Elf ~ Whack – A – Something

Long time no see…… I totally meant to get a lot done this weekend, but I felt totally overwhelmed and spent all day Saturday scrapbooking with my sweet daughter. All day Sunday was spent at a cheer competition. Needless to say, I had to play “catch up” all day yesterday. Anyway…… I finally got a new “shelf elf” freebie for you. This one is a good one! It’s my best selling “Whack – a – …….” In this case, it’s “Whack – a – Fraction, Decimal, and Percent” with a super cute Christmas theme. Students are placed in pairs and divide the cards out equally among each other. At the same time, students will flip over one card each. The first to determine the card with the larger value and “whacks” that card, wins the round. Play continues until there are no cards left. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to take a picture of my “shelf elf” Fibonacci. Friday he was strung along with the blinds on one of my windows with toilet paper (obviously appropriate for middle schoolers lol).

Here’s a cute little story about one of my students. I have a sweet child in my first hour who has autism. He totally loves to look for Fibonacci every morning, and every morning he goes through each of the places and things Fibonacci has done each day. Then he always ends it with “that silly elf.” So cute! I hope your students are enjoying the activities and games! Thank you so much for your support! I made the activity, but the super cute elf graphics are by Melonheadz and the “gopher” images are by ScrappinDoodles.
